Founded by Cliff D’Souza, a third-generation Tanzanian and second-generation safari designer, Savannah Signature carries forward a lineage of hospitality and heart. Cliff’s father, a 55-year veteran lodge owner, instilled in him an unwavering respect for the wild and for those who protect it.

My name is Cliff, and it is both a privilege and a joy to welcome you to the Savannah Signature Collection, our most personal and elevated expression of travel in Tanzania.
This collection has grown from more than five decades of living, working, and guiding travelers through this remarkable country. At its core is a deep love for Tanzania, its people, its wildlife, its landscapes, and the quiet rhythms that make it unlike anywhere else on earth.
The Signature Collection is not about ticking off destinations or following set itineraries. It is about immersion. It’s about slowing down enough to truly experience Tanzania, walking alongside Maasai communities, listening to stories shaped by generations, and feeling the land in a way that goes beyond observation.

Growing up in Tanzania, going on safari countless times a year and falling in love time-and-time again with the astonishing grace of a galloping giraffe was a privilege.
From an early age, I witnessed the dedication and passion my family poured into our company—rooted in a deep love for this country, its people and its culture.
My formative years sparked within me a lasting curiosity to explore new places, experience new cultures and form new connections. Guided by the passion and integrity that my family instilled within me, I sought to travel wide and have a meaningful impact, leading me to humanitarian work across Africa and then the Middle East. My experience as a humanitarian for the last 13 years guides how I approach travel today – thoughtfully, responsibly and always with people at the center.
As our company marks over 50 years of exceptional service, I feel deeply honored to come full circle—now joining the family business and working alongside my Dad and our extraordinary team in Tanzania. Together, we are custodians of something deeply personal, crafting bespoke, sustainable journeys that invite travelers to experience Tanzania with depth and respect.
