“Every journey with Savannah Signature Collection is designed to leave more than footprints—it leaves a legacy.”
To share Africa’s wild beauty and wonder with intrepid travelers is both a privilege and a responsibility.
At Savannahh Signature Collection, we believe luxury and conservation are not opposing forces , they are two sides of the same story. Every journey we design honors the land, uplifts the people who call it home, and contributes to the protection of Tanzania’s remarkable biodiversity.
Our mission is to craft experiences that move the soul and sustain the wild — journeys that inspire guests to see travel not as consumption, but as connection.
We exist for travelers who value meaning over excess, for those who wish to explore consciously, tread lightly, and leave behind something far more lasting than footprints.
As custodians of Africa’s wild heart, we believe that tourism, when done right, can be a powerful force for good.
Every safari, climb, and coastal escape we create directly supports conservation, education, and community empowerment.
Through our network of partners, we ensure that a portion of every guest’s journey is reinvested back into the ecosystems and communities that make travel here possible.
We collaborate with local rangers, Maasai guides, women’s cooperatives, and conservation organizations whose daily work protects wildlife corridors, supports education, and preserves culture.
Our guests are invited to engage authentically, whether it’s planting a tree near Tarangire, visiting a women-led craft collective in Arusha, or learning firsthand about anti-poaching efforts from those on the ground.
We weave these stories into our safaris, creating not just unforgettable experiences, but meaningful exchanges that build understanding, empathy, and legacy.
Every journey booked through Savannahh Signature Collection includes a $50 per guest conservation contribution, which goes directly toward the local initiatives we support.
We carefully select projects that embody transparency, sustainability, and long-term vision — ensuring that every dollar makes a measurable difference.
Some of our ongoing efforts include:
Wildlife Corridors Initiative (Manyara–Tarangire Ecosystem) – supporting land preservation and sustainable grazing practices to protect elephant migration routes.
Maasai Women’s Empowerment & Handcraft Program (Arusha Region) – providing women artisans with fair-trade access to the tourism market.
Kilimanjaro Porter Support & Welfare Program (Moshi) – ensuring fair wages, safe equipment, and medical support for mountain porters.
Youth for Conservation (Northern Tanzania) – funding local education programs that inspire the next generation of rangers, guides, and conservationists.
Marine Conservation & Coral Restoration (Zanzibar) – working with community divers to restore coral reefs and reduce plastic waste in coastal areas.
These are more than donations, they are partnerships rooted in respect and reciprocity. Together, we aim to create a ripple effect of positive change — empowering communities, protecting wildlife, and preserving the soul of Tanzania’s wilderness.
We understand that passive ignorance is no longer an option.
Every decision we make, from the lodges we select to the vehicles we operate — is guided by principles of sustainability, equity, and integrity.
We champion properties that practice low-impact design, renewable energy use, and local employment. We encourage travelers to offset their carbon footprint and choose experiences that support conservation rather than exploitation.
Our hope is that each guest returns home not only rested and inspired, but also a little kinder, a little more aware, and deeply connected to what is at stake.
Whether under canvas, beneath thatch, or in city skylines — Savannahh Signature Collection selects accommodations that enrich your journey as much as the landscapes you explore. At Savannahh, every stay is chosen with care, not just for comfort, but for how it enriches your story of Africa.
Every journey with Savannahh Signature Collection helps sustain the wild.
A portion of each safari supports local conservation, women’s cooperatives, and youth programs across Tanzania — protecting wildlife corridors, empowering communities, and preserving the soul of Africa for generations to come.
Poaching continues to threaten wildlife across Africa, and Tanzania’s Serengeti ecosystem is no exception. In response, the Serengeti De-Snaring Programme was launched in April 2017, through a collaboration between TANAPA (Tanzania National Parks), the Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS), and other committed conservation partners.
At Savannah Signature Collection, in partnership with Savannah Tours Tanzania, we proudly support initiatives that deliver measurable conservation results. The Serengeti De-Snaring Project reflects our mission — to protect the wild spaces that inspire our journeys and to ensure every guest experience contributes directly to conservation impact.
Specialized patrol teams operate throughout Serengeti National Park, locating and removing wire snares set by poachers who target species such as wildebeest and zebra for bushmeat and hides.
Each team — composed of TANAPA rangers and reformed poachers — uses deep field knowledge to detect poacher camps, dismantle traps, and prevent further harm.
Since its inception, the programme has grown from one team in 2017 to three full-time de-snaring units, each averaging 60 patrol days per month.
1,170 + animals rescued
74,000 + snares removed
Confiscated bushmeat destroyed to halt illegal trade
For every guest night spent within the Serengeti, SSC contributes $1 per person directly to the De-Snaring Teams — sustaining vital patrol operations and protecting Tanzania’s wildlife for generations to come.
For centuries, the Maasai and other pastoralist communities of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area have shared their land with lions. Today, habitat loss, climate change, and human-wildlife conflict threaten both their traditions and the survival of these iconic big cats.
Kope Lion works to restore lion corridors linking the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti, preventing population fragmentation while strengthening coexistence. Their team — many of whom are from local Maasai communities — focus on protecting livestock, reducing retaliation killings, and building trust through education and employment.
Building on over 50 years of lion research, Kope Lion delivers data-driven solutions to manage conflict and protect one of the world’s most studied lion populations. Their model empowers local people to become stewards of both their culture and their wildlife.
Our Signature Camp locations — including properties in the Ngorongoro-Ndutu corridor — are situated within Kope Lion’s active range. Through guest visits and nightly contributions, Savannah Signature Collection supports Kope Lion’s coexistence programs, helping ensure that both lions and pastoralists thrive.
Since 2003, the Kilimanjaro Porters Assistance Project (KPAP) has worked to improve porter welfare and promote socially responsible climbing practices.
Together with Savannah Tours Tanzania, SSC ensures that every climb operated under our name meets KPAP’s strict ethical standards. Porters receive fair wages, proper meals, adequate shelter, and access to medical care — the essentials for safety and dignity on the mountain.
Through KPAP, porters have access to quality gear, professional development, and safety training — building long-term careers in Tanzania’s adventure tourism industry.
We actively participate in the annual Kilimanjaro Cleanup Campaign, removing waste left by irresponsible operators. Our mountain crews have also joined firefighting efforts to protect Kilimanjaro’s fragile alpine environment.
When you summit with Savannah Signature Collection, you help ensure fair employment, ethical tourism, and the long-term preservation of Kilimanjaro’s environment and communities.
